Bois Barbare
EAU DE PARFUM
Rodrigo Flores-Roux
The extremely rich universe of exotic woods that has charmed the Middle East for centuries finds a new expression, revisited, amplified and uncannily twisted. Opulent floral harmonies lace a deeply sensual and mystical woody environment, just like an idiom spoken with familiar words that delivers a totally new vocabulary.
"This perfume is our first foray into the Arabic woods that are so appreciated today. When I worked with the perfumer, the brief aimed at making a rich, intense and very attractive wood, thinking of consumers who love the smell of opulent woods, but also of those who are looking for their first great woody perfume.

We wanted to make a perfume faithful to the great culture of exotic woods in the Middle East, which at the same time provided fine nuances such as the sweetness of nutmeg, the richness of saffron and the permanence of Tolu balsam.

Bois Barbare reinterprets this great olfactory genre with an accord of agarwood overdosed in abstract woods and ambery notes, infused in spices and the best quality of frankincense currently available to perfumers: sensual yet elegant, attractive and expansive: the effects of this scent are no less than barbaric."

BOIS BARBARE, BEHIND THE NAME

The name for this perfume was born in a completely natural way. The roadmap to follow was a refined yet very powerful wood, modern but with an ancient, even brutal, reminiscence.
We liked the game of a compound name whose two words began with the same sound and, playing with the idea of a brutal or bestial wood, the concept of barbarian suddenly appeared; Bois Barbare.
